Feast for the Eyes!

This year, all the 3 major Animation Studios, i.e. Blue Sky, DreamWorks and Pixar are releasing amazing, awesome and wonderful feature films. Its going to be a real feast for eyes to watch all of them. There is no doubt that all the 3 studios are great, but according to me, after reading reviews of movies and watching and also by taking mouth publicity into consideration, for me, the ranking has been like: 1.Pixar 2.Dreamworks 3.Blue Sky. But this time I personally feel that DreamWorks and Blue Sky may overtake Pixar. It is not correct to come to a conclusion about the feature films without watching them. But still, everybody has their own perspective, right?

Pixar seems to have moved out of their way this time as this is the first time they are using a robot as the main character. The animation is done superbly. Subtle animation makes it look so lifelike. The emotions and actions shown inspite of such limitation in the form of a robot, is really worthy of appreciation. Pixar has always surprised its fans and audiences.

DreamWorks has not fascinated me so much as Pixar has. I don't mean any offense to any of the studios or any of the artists in this beautiful world. It is just what I feel. I am not a great artist or so, but it is just my point. But one thing is true, the film that sparked my interest and craze for the animation field is The Road to El Dorado, which is ofcourse created by DreamWorks. And then Shrek, my all time DreamWorks favourite. I didn't enjoy Shrek 3 so much as 1 and 2. I have neither watched the Bee Movie. So, after waiting for some time, now I feel that Kung Fu Panda is the one movie I would want to watch time and again. So, I am eagerly waiting for its release.

Blue Sky, when I read about how it started as a 25 member or so team and has now grown so big, it is so inspiring. Both Ice Age and Ice Age: The Meltdown have grabbed my attention so very well that I love Blue Sky like anything. The first time I saw the first trailer of Horton Hears A Who, I went bonkers. What an amazing concept. People living in a spec of dust? Thats awesome. Thanks to Dr. Seuss. And when I saw the second trailer, my God, it made me go even more crazier. Beautiful animation, wonderful followthroughs, arcs and what amazing details in animation. What else can I say.

I am saving up all my pocket money, and waiting like a begger as to when I will get a chance to watch them all. March 14, come soon.
