This is a short film that I was a part of, working with my colleagues at Rhythm and Hues. We made it during some free time at work. We tried to achieve a flat look using a 3d software. Since we had limited time in hand, we wanted to get the idea out as quickly as possible. Simple rigs were used and more emphasis was given on making it look visually good. Blend shapes were used for eye blinks and face deforms while receiving punches. The title ZZZZuuupp!! comes from the sound that the spaceship makes when disappearing into the sky.
Time taken: 26 days from concept to final, excluding weekends
